Support Adoption For PetsSupport Adoption For Pets, the national charity that works tirelessly to find new homes for all of those pets that have been left abandoned or unwanted, have not forgotten about the many animals in their charge this Christmas.

As a well know time for generosity towards charity, it is the ideal time for them to launch the last of their fundraising drives for the year, Santa Paws! Running from the 1st to the 24th December, the event has Pets At Home colleagues work closely with their nominated charities to deliver toys and treats to animals in need, just in time for Christmas.

Rehoming centres across the country are always in need of your help. As non-profit organisations, any donations they gratefully receive go straight towards the care of the animals they are looking after; often to cover hefty vet’s bills. Therefore the donation of a toy, a treat, or even a bag of food is greatly appreciated at this, as at any other, time of the year.

Support Adoption For Pets are giving people across the country to show their love of animals, by donating 50p to buy a pet in need a Christmas dinner – although they hope that people may donate more than one. Earlier this week, the total number of dinners donated amounted to 357,718 – a great total that is continually growing!

You can donate to the charity via the Support Adoption For Pets site, or by texting SAFP01 followed by your chosen donation amount (e.g. SAFP01 £1) to 70070. All donations made, either for a Christmas dinner or otherwise, go to the rescue centres that have been nominated by Pets At Home staff.
